I graduated from Newcastle University with an Honours degree in History in 2013. I then joined the UKIM team in a graduate role in the newly formed Pagination Department. Starting out as a Medical Records Analyst, I later went on to become Training and Quality Officer and then Team Manager. Over the last 18 months I have been supporting our Pagination Team in the role of Head of Operations.
My day-to-day role involves me supporting our large pagination team. I am responsible for the overall management of the team to ensure we meet agreed service level agreements and targets. I work closely with colleagues across the department, as well as the wider business.
I ensure good working relationships with our customers by being actively involved in the onboarding process and acting as a point of contact for any queries.
I really enjoy the training and development aspect of my role. Our industry is an ever-growing and changing one, which means lots of opportunities for change and to further our skillsets. In my role I get to develop the skills of the team by providing coaching, support and guidance.
Our department is made up of Nurse Assessors and Medical Records Analysts who work together to deliver our products. My favourite aspect of my role is the collaborative environment, being able to work with both clinical and non-clinical staff from a variety of backgrounds and with a wealth of experience and knowledge.
In my spare time I volunteer with Girl-guiding (Rainbows and Brownies). I love this because it gives young girls the opportunity for adventure, learning new things, and gives them a safe space to be themselves!
